Securing Natural Capital in the GMS

Securing Natural Capital in the GMS

The Greater Mekong Subregion is one of the most dynamic regions in the world, witnessing rapid economic growth over the past two decades. Much of this has been fueled by the unsustainable use of its natural resources. While this has led to increased prosperity, it has also created immense pressure on the natural environment, including its rich and unique biodiversity. The animation describes the work of the Core Environment Program in each of the 6 countries, helping to secure natural capital in the Greater Mekong Subregion.

Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and two provinces in China make up the GMS.

The animation was also produced in each of the 6 languages of the countries involved. Music produced by Sebastian Fox. Client // Asian Development Bank (ADB)
